Alia received a Center for the Arts Scholarship in 2019 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Long Island University with a BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre.

Alia Gonzalez says, “I grew up in a small town with very little support for the arts. My high school had a chorus, a band, and an art class, and that was it. I didn't know that performing arts such as theater could become a career until I was a Junior, and even then, it was hard to find support for my dreams. Thanks to the Center for the Arts supporting young artists like myself, I was able to turn those dreams into a reality.”
