Art Critique
The Art Critique group will meet every second Tuesday of the month from 2:00–4:00 pm at CFA's space (428 Main St.) in New London starting in October. Artists are welcome to bring something they're working on or a painting they've finished. The group will provide positive, gentle feedback on each other's work with the aim to develop skill and find inspiration for ourselves and others. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Alison Vernon at avernon323@gmail.com.
Art Café
Excitement can occur when artists come together to support one another in a friendly, stimulating environment. They can exchange ideas, experiment, theorize, and grow.
In 2016, an art café in the New London area was established. This group of over twelve artists meets regularly to discuss their works in progress. They share information and ideas, discuss techniques, and support one another. Their forms of art are varied but they have become a close community.
If you are interested in starting a new Art Café, please call or email Rick Stockwell, Visual Artist Guild Coordinator, at: 603-927-4619 gallery@cfanh.org
Photography Café
The Photography Café meets every second Thursday at Tracy Memorial Library in New London for a chance to connect, learn new techniques, receive feedback on their work, explore exhibition opportunities, and participate in group outings. For a glimpse of what their meetings entail, check out the sample agenda linked below. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Jay Fitzpatrick at jall@tds.net.
Visual Artist Guild Meetings
Guild member meetings are geared to provide opportunities for artists to improve their craft, broaden their network, and connect with other artists.

These opportunities are at various times throughout the year. To stay up to date, please sign up for the Visual Arts Newsletter or email info@cfanh.org if you have any questions.
Microgalleries
CFA’s Microgallery events are a wonderful way to show your artwork and gain traction in the local community.

The CFA and Microgalleries provide an exhibit space, beverages, and snacks for an opening reception. In return, the artist will attend the First Friday opening reception, and replaces any artwork that is sold at this exhibit with more of their own comparable work. They will maintain the exhibit for the duration of the exhibit period.
Arts in the Harbor
Arts in the Harbor is a one day, outdoors, juried fine arts and crafts show. Fine arts and crafts include painting-oils, acrylics, watercolors, monotypes, pastels, drawings, photography, block prints, pottery, fine jewelry, gold and silver work, weaving, fiber arts, wood, metal, stone, and sculpture.
Open Studios
Join us each October for a tour of artist studios in our Region. Check back soon to see this year's participating artists.
How to Join or Support
Membership to CFA’s Visual Artist Guild starts at $50. Guild members have the opportunity to exhibit their work at microgalleries, special exhibits, participate in summer art shows and annual Open Studio events, have a listing on our website and spotlight on social media, and more.

The CFA has been able to help artists collectively gross about $50,000 in gross sales in past years. The CFA media presence can reach up to 10,000 individuals per month through social media, digital, and press promotion. Guild Membership offers a great opportunity for local visual artists to expose their work to a larger audience.
