Why the Arts Matter

More Than Entertainment

Art invites us to see the world differently. It encourages creativity, sparks conversation, preserves history, and helps us better understand ourselves and one another.

Communities with thriving arts organizations are stronger, more connected, and more vibrant. The arts create places where people gather, celebrate, learn, and find inspiration. Making them an essential part of a healthy community, not simply a luxury.

Whether someone visits a gallery for the first time, attends a live performance, participates in a workshop, or discovers a passion for writing, the arts create experiences that stay with us long after the event has ended.

Supporting Every Creative Discipline

Investing in the Next Generation

Creativity begins early.

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover the arts.

The Center for the Arts is expanding educational opportunities through scholarships, partnerships with local schools, youth programming, and new initiatives that inspire creativity in the classroom and beyond.

Thanks to a historic grant from the Mervyn Seldon Trust, CFA is launching expanded supplemental arts education for middle and high school students. Helping ensure that young people throughout our region have greater access to meaningful artistic experiences.

Your support helps make these opportunities possible for today's students and tomorrow's artists.

Building a Stronger Community

The arts have the unique ability to bring people together across generations and backgrounds.

Whether it's a family attending an exhibition, friends enjoying a summer concert, students discovering a love of writing, or artists finding a supportive creative community, the Center for the Arts creates experiences that connect people through creativity.

When you support CFA, you're investing in a community where the arts continue to inspire, educate, and unite people for years to come.
