Art in Bloom
June 12–14, 2026
Art in Bloom transformed Whipple Hall into a celebration of creativity, beauty, and imagination. Throughout the weekend, original artwork from the Center for the Arts' rotating member exhibition was paired with floral interpretations created by local florists, garden centers, and garden clubs. Workshops, special events, and community experiences invited visitors to explore the connection between flowers, fine art, and creative expression.

The Art in Bloom Exhibition brought together original artwork and floral design in a unique collaboration celebrating creativity and the natural world. Floral designers from across the Sunapee Region created arrangements inspired by works from the Center for the Arts' rotating member exhibitions, offering visitors fresh perspectives through color, texture, and artistic interpretation.

The Walk & Talk Brunch invited guests to hear directly from participating floral designers as they shared the inspiration and creative process behind their installations. Brunch-inspired fare and conversation created a welcoming atmosphere for artists, designers, and visitors to connect while exploring the exhibition together.

Botanical Printing & Hapa Zome Textile Workshop

Participants explored botanical printing through the traditional techniques of Shibori and Hapa Zome, using flowers and leaves to transfer natural color and texture onto fabric and paper. Through experimentation and hands-on creativity, each participant created one-of-a-kind botanical works inspired by the beauty of nature.

Indigo Shibori Textile Workshop: Pattern, Process & Connection

This hands-on workshop introduced participants to centuries-old Japanese art of Indigo Shibori. Through folding, binding, and dyeing techniques, attendees created distinctive indigo textiles while discovering the creativity, craftsmanship, and rich traditions behind this timeless art form.
