Ana Maria Ash

Painter

Here are Ana's favorite quotes:

"The true use of art is, first, to cultivate the artist's own spiritual nature." - George Inness.

"Nothing makes me so happy as to observe nature and to paint what I see. " - Henri Rousseau.

As a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association from 1999 to 2012, Ana had exhibited at the League of New Hampshire Craftsman's Fair. Her artwork has been prominently featured on the cover of several New London Barn Playhouse playbills. Additionally, she has actively participated in various local art shows hosted at esteemed venues such as the New London Historical Society, Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital, Bar Harbor Bank, the Library Arts Center in Newport, NH, and The Naturally New England Show at the Livery in Sunapee Harbor, NH.

Ana's passion for travel and her love for walking and hiking have led her to undertake enriching journeys. She finds immense joy in walking long distances, often exceeding one hundred miles, in the company of close friends. Her journeys in Spain, France, Ireland, and the UK have been deeply spiritual experiences. The act of walking continuously for a week or two, covering fifteen to twenty miles each day, has been a profound source of inspiration for Ana, drawn from her deep connection with nature and the people she encounters.
