Pure Form — Abstract Expressions

Fall Juried Members Exhibition

September 4 – October 24, 2026

The Center for the Arts presents Pure Form: Abstract Expression, a juried exhibition celebrating the many ways artists explore abstraction.

Featuring work by CFA member artists from throughout the region, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of approaches to color, form, texture, movement, gesture, shape, mark-making, and composition.

From artists who have worked with abstraction for decades to those exploring its possibilities in new ways, Pure Form demonstrates that there is no single way to make or experience abstract art. Each artist brings a distinct visual language, inviting viewers to look beyond traditional representation and find their own meaning in the work.

Whether bold and expressive, quiet and contemplative, layered and textured, or rooted in experimentation, the works in Pure Form reflect the freedom of abstraction and the individual perspectives of the artists who create it.
