Position Summary:
The Center for the Arts, NH, a vibrant nonprofit dedicated to fostering arts and creativity, is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Communications and Events Coordinator.
This highly organized, people-centered team member will support the planning and execution of public and private events, coordinate and grow our volunteer base, and help shape internal systems for volunteer communication, tracking, outreach, and support. This is a flexible, part-time position for someone who thrives on details, builds relationships with ease, and doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves for a fast-paced and varied workload.
Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Support
-
Assist with planning, logistics, setup, and breakdown of in-house and off-site events, such as the Arts in the Harbor tent art exhibit, MicroGallery strolls, fundraising events, and more.

Track RSVPs, ticket sales, guest lists, vendor needs, and event timelines.

Serve as point-of-contact for event-day logistics and execution.

Develop and organize event-related content with the marketing team (e.g., signage, emails, social media posts, volunteer briefings, and promotional materials).

Attend events as required and represent CFA with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Work with the Executive Director (ED) and board liaisons to support planning and implementation.

Volunteer Coordination

Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers for programs and events.
-
Build relationships with volunteers and act as a friendly and informative point of contact.

Create and maintain systems for volunteer communication, scheduling, and recognition.
-
Serve as the liaison between staff and volunteers to ensure clear expectations and mutual support.
Community Engagement & Marketing Support

Collaborate with the marketing team to share stories, images, and updates from events and volunteers.

Talk with volunteers and community members to gather content, testimonials, and insights.

Distribute marketing materials (posters, brochures, etc.) throughout the region.

Help develop and maintain positive rapport with community partners, attendees, and audiences.
Operational & Administrative Support

Manage organizational storage closet and ensure event materials are stocked and organized.

Order and maintain inventory of event supplies and promotional materials.

Make follow-up calls and send communications related to events and volunteer coordination.

Maintain tracking documents for events, volunteer hours, and outreach.

Request venues, insurance, and permits as needed.

Assist with data entry and organizing documentation related to programs and outreach.

Work collaboratively across teams to support broader organizational goals.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in event coordination, volunteer management,
or community engagement. -
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate
and work with diverse groups of people. -
Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to
manage multiple priorities and details simultaneously. -
Self-starter with a flexible schedule, including availability on
evenings and weekends. -
Comfortable with writing content and developing communication
plans -
Proficient in Google Workspace and/or event tracking systems
(GoogleDocs, Jotform, Mondays.com, etc.). -
Must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Gallery & Class Manager
Part-Time, 15 hours per week
$15,000 annually

Position Summary:
The Gallery & Arts Education Coordinator will support the installation and deinstallation of CFA exhibits, welcome and assist visitors, and oversee volunteer scheduling for gallery sitting. In addition, this role supports the development and coordination of arts education programming—working closely with the Arts Education Committee (made up of board members and educators) to schedule classes, camps, and instructors. The ideal candidate is community-minded, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable welcoming guests as they are organizing logistics behind the scenes.
This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for someone who loves the arts, enjoys connecting with people, and has experience in education, events, or gallery settings.
Responsibilities:

Gallery Support

Coordinate, assist with, and oversee installation and deinstallation of exhibitions

Serve as a primary contact for artists during exhibit planning and installation

Sit in the gallery during open hours (or schedule volunteer gallery sitters) to greet visitors, answer questions, and promote CFA programs

Organize and schedule volunteers to assist with gallery hours and openings

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the gallery space
-
Collect and share artist bios and images for promotional use in collaboration with the marketing team

Volunteer Coordination

Collaborate with instructors to ensure class needs, room setup, and promotion are in place

Assist in the creation and coordination of seasonal art camps or family workshops

Maintain and manage classroom and teaching materials, and help keep spaces organized

Teach classes as needed or based on expertise
Qualifications:

Experience with computers and software programs

Basic knowledge of visual art handling and exhibit setup (or willingness to learn)

Comfortable managing schedules, coordinating logistics, and solving problems on the fly

Ability to lift and move artwork and exhibition materials

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to build and maintain relationships with artists and patrons

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff, board, and volunteers

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
