New London, NH – This November the Center for the Arts (CFA) invites you to let your imagination take flight by joining us inside our Creative Classroom. There is something for everyone at all different stages and ages—creative writing, fiber arts, sketching, painting, printmaking, and so much more!


Our Upcoming November Classes:

Painting the Vibrant Colors of Fall in Watercolor with Robert O’Brien

November 1, 10am–4pm

Join renowned watercolorist Robert J. O’Brien to capture the fall landscape in its glorious splendor by utilizing the vibrancy of autumn colors through layering and techniques for creating light and shadows. 


Creative Collage: Exploring Art with Handprinted and Handpainted Papers with Pam Smith

November 2, 1–4pm

Enjoy an immersive workshop where creativity meets craftsmanship—monoprinting, stamping, block printing, and more!


The Artist’s Sketchbook with Chris Scott

TUESDAY SERIES: November 4 to 25, 10am–12pm

This four-week class offers an introduction to creative sketchbook practice, encouraging participants to experiment freely and discover how sketching can deepen their artistic process.


Painting in Acrylics for Beginners with Alison Vernon

November 8, 1–4pm

Discover the fun of painting with acrylics in this hands-on workshop for beginners.


Beginner Needle Felting with Laura Catsos

November 9, 1–5pm 

Learn the basics of 3D needle felting by crafting a festive friend out of wool roving!


Make your own Stamps, Masks and Stencils with Patsy Catsos

November 12, 6–8:30pm

Explore techniques for making and using masks, stamps and stencils from paper, mylar, fabric, found objects, linoleum, and linocut rubber carving blocks.  


Glaze Chip Pie Plate Class with Christine Donovan

November 14, 6–8:30pm

Paint a stoneware pie plate with your choice of glaze chips and base glaze color just in time for the holidays—dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe!


Character Deep-Dive with Ceillie Clark-Keene

November 15, 10am–1pm

Dive into what makes characters feel vivid on the page and remain memorable long after you’re done reading. 


Writing Together for Teens with Ceillie Clark-Keene

November 20, 3:30pm–5:30pm

Learn how to break through hesitation and nurture a new idea, revisit a shelved project, or simply build a habit of putting words on the page, and move forward in your creative practice. 


From Realism to Abstraction Through Process with Peter Anderson

November 22 & 23, 10am–4pm 

Break away from familiar imagery and explore the freedom of pure abstraction while exploring a collage/combine process.
