This New Year we have a lot of “new” and familiar events and opportunities for you. We have not been idle and have been building all kinds of opportunities and vehicles for you to showcase your talents. New Space, New Opportunities



Call for Artists: Spring Themed Show

We are excited to announce a Call for Artists to participate in our juried Spring-themed art show, celebrating the grand opening of our new location at the Center for the Arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your work in a vibrant community space.


Theme: Spring – Embrace the season of renewal, growth, and vibrant colors. Artists are encouraged to explore all interpretations of the theme, from blossoming flowers to the feeling of fresh beginnings.


Important Details:

  • Art Opening: April 10th, 5-7 PM

    (For artists, CFA members, and guests)

    Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

  • Exhibition Dates: April 9th – May 5th, 2025

  • Deadline to Submit: March 14th, 2025

  • Eligibility: Open to all artists. Works in all media (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.) are welcome, as long as they align with the theme of Spring.


If you're interested in participating, please submit the following:

  1. A brief artist statement (maximum 200 words)

  2. Up to 3 images of your artwork (JPEG or PNG format, 300 dpi)

  3. Artwork dimensions and medium

  4. A short bio (optional)


Please submit your application to Show@cfanh.org by March 14th, 2025. Selected artists will be notified by March 21st, 2025. Must be a member of the CFA.




Exhibit Opportunities for Members

Microgalleries to Show Your Work

In 2023 the CFA saw artists gross $50,000 in sales from both the Microgalleries and Naturally New England Exhibits. Show your work at one of these amazing locations to share your work with the community. Apply by clicking the button below.


We're thrilled to announce that the Barn Playhouse will host a year-round exhibit featuring local artists. If you'd like to showcase a piece that represents your unique style, email us at info@cfanh.org.

Sell Your Fine Art or Craft


The CFA is working to prepare the space for fine artists and craftspeople to sell their work year round. Apply to sell your work today. Application reviews will begin January 2025.

Naturally New England Call for Artists


July 12th through July 21st.

We would like to invite you to apply for participation in the 2025 Naturally New England Show located at the beautiful Livery building in Sunapee Harbor.


This year there is a special barn exhibit to reinforce the Vanishing Movie showing on Sunday July 13.


Last year, over 85 artists and 220 pieces hung. Entries are due by end of day May 30th, and notifications of acceptance go out by June 2nd.  Click below for more information.




Microgallery Updates


New Microgallery Contact


It takes a lot of work from many generous community members to offer the microgalleries to artists and the community. We are thrilled to have Jay Fitzpatrick leading much of this process with support form Rick Stockwell who will still manage NNE and the NL Hospital. Thank you Jay!





New Financial Support


The CFA is now partnering with Cedar Hill Bookkeeping in Bradford to provide new options to artists like directpay. Better Together


Artist Drop In with Karen Haskell


This new group starts Feb 19 from 930-12:30pm monthly for anyone to bring their latest project and paint as a group. Light direction and gentle feedback isi available if desired. Otherwise enjoy working with other artists collectively for fun and camaraderie. Just bring your materials and plan to take them back with you. Easels are available if needed. Drop-in anytime! Artist Critique Group


This is a new artist critique group is by Alison Vernon, it’s a great group to share your work in a safe and collaborative environment. Join this great group of artists every second Tuesday of the month at the CFA Gallery at 428 Main St. in New London. Email info@cfanh.org for more information.


Maximizing Open Studios Discussion with Tim Sievers

Have a story you are working on and need some feedback? Want to help others with their ideas? Bring a piece of your work and come join the Writer’s Den Drop-In starting Tuesday, Feb 4 from 6-8pm at the CFA Gallery & Studio. Free for members. Not a member? Sign up here to join. ART SUPPLIES: The CFA is looking for donation of lightly used or “like new” art supplies to use for art classes. Paints, brushes, quality markers, pencils, graphite, and other such tools welcome.
