Experience the Magic of Light at CFA’s Illuminations Holiday Members Showcase

New London, NH – The Center for the Arts (CFA) invites the community to the Opening Reception of Illuminations, a captivating exhibition that celebrates local artists and the enduring inspiration of light in art. The reception will be held on Thursday, November 6 from 5:00–7:00 PM inside the Gallery & Studio at 428 Main Street in New London.  

This exhibition will feature works by CFA Visual Arts Guild Members Peter Anderson, Rolande Andrews, Deborah Bacon, Sara Byfield, Elizabeth D'Amico, Adrienne Elliott, Barry Fougere, Ludmila Gayvoronsky, Karen Haskell, Lindsay Holmes, Barbara Hunting, Sara LaMott, Heidi Lorenz, Kathy Lowe, Thomas McHugh, Lucy Mueller, Mark O'Neil, Juliana Read, Chris Scott, Yvonne Shukovsky, Alan Shulman, Rick Stockwell, Charlotte Thibault, and Alison Vernon. Artists were selected through a juried open call submission process. 

From the glow of candles and festive winter lights to the quiet shimmer of snow and moments of joy and warmth, Illuminations explores the ways art can bring wonder and connection during the darker months of the year. Whether through vibrant color, luminous imagery, or ideas of insight and discovery, these works capture the spirit of the season by illuminating how creativity can brighten our lives and communities.

Illuminations features artworks created with the holidays in mind, in a range of accessible sizes and price points, perfect for those looking to give the gift of art this season. A selection of reserve works will be available to replace pieces as they are sold, ensuring a dynamic display of high-quality artworks throughout the exhibition.
