Center for the Arts Presents November First Fridays Gallery Stroll

New London, NH- The Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the First Fridays Gallery Stroll, highlighting distinguished artwork at five prominent venues throughout New London on November 7. Visitors are invited to view art at Blue Loon Bakery, Grounds, New London Inn, Tatewell Gallery, and CFA’s Gallery & Studio. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and appreciate the artistic achievements on display. 


  1. Paul Buffum- Oil

New London Inn, 353 Main Street, New London, NH 03257

Paul Buffum is a dedicated oil painter whose lifelong connection to New England inspires his expressive landscapes of New Hampshire and Rhode Island, blending a love for plein air painting with an evolving appreciation for the subtle rhythms of the region’s seasons.


  1. Molly Leith- Gouache, Oil, Acrylic, and Gold Leaf

Molly Leith is a contemporary visual artist whose work draws inspiration from the rhythms and landscapes of coastal New England, the Bay Area, and beyond. “Each piece begins with a single mark—a decisive moment of movement that ignites curiosity and delight.” -ML


  1. Chris Scott- Gouache, Graphite, and Pastel

Chris Scott is a versatile artist whose landscape works, inspired by the beauty of New Hampshire and Vermont, combine a variety of materials and mediums to explore expressive mark making, varied shapes, and a vibrant range of natural colors.


  1.  Alan Shulman- Acrylic

    Blue Loon Bakery, 12 Lovering Ln, New London, NH 03257

Alan Shulman is a New London painter and registered architect whose vivid works reflect a lifelong engagement with color, line, and shape, informed by Bauhaus training, international exhibitions, and a commitment to honoring Holocaust victims through his “Portraits of Zinkov” series.


The Center for the Arts will also be open during the stroll for additional art and engagement with the Illuminations Holiday Members Showcase on display inside the Gallery & Studio.

Explore at Your Leisure

From November through January, works by four artists and members of Photography Café will be on display at five microgalleries in New London. Additionally, art is available for viewing at the New London Hospital, The Fleming Center at the New London Barn Playhouse, and the CFA Gallery & Studio during their regular business hours. Bar Harbor Bank will continue to exhibit photography during its regular business hours, but will not be participating in the November Gallery Stroll. 


The Center for the Arts supports, promotes, and connects literary, performing and visual artists of all ages with our community. We offer three guilds, member groups and gatherings, community events and programs, exhibits and classes. For the past 15 years, the CFA has championed creativity as a vital part of life in the Lake Sunapee region and beyond.
