Celebrate Independence and Student Excellence with Center for the Arts and the New London Summer Music Series

New London, NH: Join the Center for the Arts as we proudly honor this year’s outstanding CFA Scholarship recipients. During this special Independence Day First Fridays event, the Center for the Arts invites the community to join us for an awards ceremony where we celebrate the students' achievements. After the awards, attendees can look forward to Band Concerts on the Common (Music on the Green)—a lively performance to keep the celebration going, in partnership with the Town of New London Bandstand Committee.

Each year CFA is proud to offer student scholarships that support the literary, performing, and visual arts of the next generation which are generously funded by our community. The award recipients are students selected from communities in the Lake Sunapee Region and scholarships are awarded after interviews conducted by the CFA Scholarship Committee. The committee carefully reviews each applicant’s talent as musicians, dancers, or students of visual, literary, and theater arts, their past achievements, and their desire to pursue the arts in the future. 

This First Fridays event will be held on July 4, 2025 at the Town Green off of Main Street. This proud moment for our community is a reminder of the bright future ahead. Come for the inspiration, stay for the music, and celebrate the 4th with heart and harmony.
